Alice Tacheny is a designer and artist based in Marin County, California. Trained as a woodworker and with years of experience as a furniture designer, Alice began her own studio in 2012 with a collection of modern handcrafted furniture. Since then, her practice has evolved into the creation of functional objects and art using a variety of materials including wood, soft metals, leather and concrete. Alice’s work is rooted in experimentation, convergence of forms, impermanence and entropy, and the intimate relationships we form with ordinary objects.
